Samsung Galaxy S4: All You NEED to Know, Tech Specs, Features [OFFICIAL]

At last, the much awaited Samsung Galaxy S IV has finally been unveiled in an event in New York! Although, one would hardly be able to notice galaxys4any difference between it’s predecssor the Galaxy S3, the real change lies ‘within’ this spectacular device.

Tech Specs

The Samsung Galaxy S 4 is powered by a thumping eight core 1.6 GHz processor or a 1.9GHz dual-core processor. Moreover, it features a larger 5 inch SUPER AMOLED screen that boasts a crispy 1080p display at 441 pixels per inch ratio and protected by Gorilla Glass 3. 2 GB of RAM is included and the device will be available in 16, 32 and 64 GB Storage choices. Connectivity includes WiFi, NFC, S Beam, Bluetooth 4.0 and an Infrared port as well.

Gestures

Despite running the latest version of Android 4.2.2, the most exciting components are the Samsung specific applications. The ‘Air View’ feature for instance allows you to hover your finger over certain pages (such as E-Mail) and navigate without having to actually change the screen. As expected the ‘Smart Scroll’ and ‘Smart Pause’ feature equip this mind-blowing smartphone wit intelligence like never before. Smart Scroll will be able to recognize your eye/face movement and scroll the page itself without you having to touch the screen. Smart Pause, on the other hand will automatically pause videos when you look away and start them when you turn back to the screen. Whats more, you can start and stop songs by just a wave of your hand.

Camera

The Galaxy S4’s cameras too, have been updated.  Equipped with a rear 13-Megapixel Full-HD and a front-facing 2 Megapixel camera, the S4 will prove to be a life-changer. New camera functionality includes the ability to use both the cameras simultaneously. That is, while you are video call-ing someone, you can choose to show yourself and what you are facing as well! The camera software too, has been upgraded to resemble features that were earlier found in Samsung’s Galaxy Camera.

Software

As I earlier mentioned the key uniqueness lies the S4’s software capabilities, the S Health for example, is a complete fitness tracker. It has the ability to track trends in your health and using the phone’s inbuilt sensors it will compare your current surroundings with the your prevailing health conditions. A pedometer too, is packed into the S4 allowing you track the number of steps you’ve walked in a certain time period.

With just hours remaining before the much-awaited Samsung event today in New York, we just can’t get enough of the rumor’s circulating around Samsung’s “Next Big Thing”. The very first thing we are expecting are touch and eye-based controls. The upcoming flagship device will utilize a front-facing camera in order to track a user’s eye movements and then automatically scroll or move across a zoomed-in page. That means if you are reading  an e-book or simply surfing the web, this mind-dazzling device will prove intelligent enough to scroll of it’s own accord. The probability of this feature is extremely high provided the fact that Samsung had earlier trademarked the term “eye scroll” and “eye pause”.

Further rumors indicate the Samsung Galaxy S4 will sport a powerful 13 Megapixel rear camera and a Samsung-designed eight core Eynos 5 processor. Moreover, we’ve also heard from numerous sources that Samsung has decided to target executive and business users as well.

iPhone 5 Officially Announced: A6 CPU, 2x Faster, 2x Better Graphics, 4-inch Display

After loads of rumors and leaks, the much awaited iPhone 5 has finally been released. At Apple’s San Francisco Event yesterday, the tech-firm unveiled it’s new iPhone 5 which promises 2x Graphics and CPU power of an iPhone 4S, yet consuming very little power. This new device is powered by an Apple A6 chip and is said to be” the thinnest and lightest iPhone ever” weighting only 112 grams. This new iPhone 5 has a Aluminium and Glass finish which not only adds elegance but a touch of beauty to this powerful piece of creativity.

Display:

Although, the screen of an iPhone 5 has been up-sized to 4 inches, one will still feel extremely comfortable using iPhone 5 as it still retains it’s previous iPhone 4 width. This means, that you can now view more emails and see more of every webpage. This larger screen will now allow for an extra set of apps to be displayed. iMovie, Garage Band and  The iWork suite have all been updated to take advantage of this elongated screen. However, one weird fact still remains unanswered, Steve Jobs once said that “no one” would want a big phone, but this new Apple device dosent seem to obey want the former mastermind of Apple said. Anyways, the 326 ppi screen of iPhone 5 sitting at a resolution of 1,136 x 640 climbs one step closer to 1080p but still falling short, however ensuring crispier graphics.

Camera:

The iPhone 5 is powered by a 8 Megapixel iSight Camera, backside-illuminated sensor and f/2.4 aperture size. The camera of an iPhone 5 is similar to the iPhone 4S’ camera and offers 1080p video recording at a whopping 30 FPS. The secondary, front-facing camera is a 1.2 MP camera which supports 720p reocording along with online video calls via LTE and WiFi. Lastly, a new mode called Panorama has been introduced which allows a number of photos to be combined into one photo of a shocking 28 Mega Pixel.

Lighting Connector and Apple EarPods:

In this latest smartphone from Apple, a new dock connector has been introduced called the “Lighting Connector”. It is fairly smaller than the existing 30 pin connector. Dont worry, you can still use your existing accessories using the “Lightning to 30-pin Adapter”. Another new addition to the iPhone 5 are the new earphones called EarPods whoch promise much more comfort, fitting and better quality sound.

A6 CPU AND LTE

The new iPhone 5 is powered by Apple’s A6 Chip, although Apple has decided to stay mum on the exact tech specs, a noticeable change has been seen by the guys at EnGadget. As they say, “use it for half an hour and you’ll have a hard time going back to a slower chip. The transitions are smoother, switching between apps is a bit quicker and everything just generally feels incrementally faster.” Another great thing the iPhone 5 carries is Read the rest of this entry
