Goodbye Hotmail, Hello Outlook: Features, Video

Hotmail, was one of first to provide free e-mail access back in 1996 but after a decade and a half later, Microsoft has decided to rename or rather completely transform it’s Hotmail.com to Outlook.com. Don’t worry you wont be loosing your email address and emails. Microsoft decided to re-brand the e-mail service in order to regain it’s market share which was lost to Google’s gmail.

1. Social Integration: Facebook and Twitter

Outlook.com will now enrich your experience by connecting you to Facebook and Twitter. While your a conversing/chatting with someone you will be able to receive his/her Facebook statuses and Twitter updates simultaneously. You also retweet on Twitter and like, comment on Facebook.

Skype for iPad finally hits App Store [VIDEO]

Skype one of the most use Video Confernce application on both Windows and Android has now finally made it’s much-awaited debut on Apple’s iPad! The Skype application brings is video calling capabilities to both the WiFi and 3G Versions of the iPad, whats more? Microsoft Buys Skype for $8.5b to create Windows Skype Messenger?

The fight between Facebook and Microsoft finally ended with Skype selling itself to sofware-gaints Microsoft! Skype now Brings 3G Calls to Android (Along with Security Fixes)

Skype on Android whose recent Security Flaws were exposed, have now updated their App and Closed up these Security flaws and along with this they’ve brought 3G Call Support! While security’s cool, 3G calling is much cooler. The Android Market listing for Skype reports that “calling over your 3G connection is available worldwide – now including the U.S.” You will need to have an Android 2.1, or Android 2.2 on a Samsung Galaxy S, to get the app running.
