Nexus 7 Upgraded: Android 4.3, Quad Core CPU & 5 Megapixel Camera
In a widely-hyped event the new Google Nexus 7 was unveiled (along with Android 4.3) to the world, which was no surprise, thanks to the tons of leaks that struck the internet in the last few weeks. The Nexus 7, as the name suggests is a 7 inch tablet manufactured by Asus and features a quad core Krait CPU clocked at 1.5 GHz. The new Google tablet boasts a crispy 1920 x 1200 aspect ratio which gives us a stunning 320 pixels per inch ratio.
The Nexus 7 2 houses 2 GB of RAM, a Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset and a Adreno 320 GPU. HD video outpus is also available. Furthermore, there has been a considerable amount of improvements to the physical dimensions of the tablet itself, the new Nexus 7 2 is 50g lighter, 1.8mm thinner and carries a bezel that is reduced by 2.8mm on each side, as compared to it’s predecessor.
Networking includesNFC, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. A 5 Megapixel rear-facing camera is a welcome introduction and is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30 fps.
The Nexus 7 2 becomes available on the Google Play Store and leading US retailers on 30th July priced at $230 for 16GB Wifi Only and $270 for 32 GB, the 4G LTE model is priced at $350 and is only with 32GB storage.
